Padalarang is a district in West Bandung Regency. As with many area that surrounds Bandung, Padalarang is also blessed with beautiful natural secenery. Padalarang is not as famous as other areas like Lembang or Ciwidey but this place offer different spectrum of natural wonders.

Padalarang has diverse tourist destinations, from lovely waterfalls to a stone garden hill. This district is located to the west of Bandung, probably only several minutes’ drive. Here are some of the best destination in Padalarang.
Goa Pawon
Pawon Cave (Goa Pawon) is located beneath the Stone Garden, in the foot of the hill. It’s a simple cave, not to deep and need an extra struggle just to get it. The entrance to the cave is several meter up on the cliff, you need to hike a little on a steep route to reach it. Inside the cave, there are several bats that inhabit the place. On one corner of the cave, you can see an ancient man fossil that is protected with iron barrier.
Stone Garden
Located on top of a hill in Girimulya Hamlet, Stone Garden is an area where there are lots of small stone formations on a green grass. Apart from exotic rocks, this place also provide a stunning panorama.
You’ll have an unobstructed view to the surrounding area. Sunrise or sunset view are breathtaking. With only 30 minutes ride from Padalarang, and IDR5000 entrance fee, this wonderful garden surely worth visiting.
Situ Ciburuy
Situ Ciburuy is a natural lake in Pamalayan Village, Bayongbong District, nearly 25 kilometers from downtown Bandung. The idyllic lake and the surrounding area is a lovely place to visit. But the most unique aspect of this lake is the legends and history surrounding it. Many historical items like kris, kujang, trisula, spears, and other artifacts found in this lake, proving that this area has been an important site since long ago.
Malela Waterfall
Located in Cicadas, Malela Waterfall is a waterfall with a wonderful view. The waterfall itself is 60 meters high with several tiers. The waterfall is roughly 50 meters wide and people often call it the Niagara of West Bandung.
The road to this waterfall is challenging though, and that will test your stamina and fitness. However, at the same time, you will also be rewarded with wonderful panorama of plantations and paddy fields.
Curug Cimahi
This waterfall is probably the most popular one in Bandung area. It has a nickname of Rainbow Waterfall because it can produce rainbows since the management installed a spectacular lighting. If you want to see the rainbow, you should come between 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The waterfall itself is 70 meters drop. There are also resident monkeys in this area. But be careful with them because they are wild monkeys.
Padalarang has many beautiful places around the in the west of Bandung, Most of the tourism potential here are not yet fully maximized and there are still big room to grow.
